Vote Your Ballot Because Tuesday is Election Day

Tuesday is election day.
The Yakima County Auditors Office has sent out 17,000 ballots for the Tuesday special election. Voters in Mabton, Highland and Selah are being urged to fill out ballots and return them to the auditors office by 8:00 pm Tuesday. BALLOTS ARE DUE BY 8:00 PM TUESDAY

District officials in Selah and Highland are asking voters for support for levies. In Selah voters are being asked to support a replacement levy at a cost of $1.65 per $1000 of assessed property.
In Highland district officials are hoping for support for a 4-year replacement levy at a cost of $1.77 per $1,000 of assessed value. Both need simple majorities to pass.
It’s different in the Mabton School District. The district is asking voters to favor a $12.8 million bond to upgrade the junior senior high school that needs a supermajority 60% to pass. THE MABTON SCHOOL DISTRICT […]
